Finish with Cambodia and then we came to here to Koh Chang not far from Siem Reap and we arrived here by minibus which is available every from Angkor Wat place. We booked this hotel just before we came and lucky they have rooms for us and the price was reasonable but the beach is about one km away and the hotel told us there is shuttle van that bring us to the beach so i think it's fair enough. The room that we got was pretty and nice even it was not facing the sea.Actually to say the whole resort is beautiful in every corner. We did took a walk and admire some of their garden and the poolside. To those coming to stay here i would recommend if you want some peace of mind and you can still get to the beach even the beach is not in front of you.

Staff are all very nice and helpful.

Room is clean and nice contemporary decoration. Breakfast is excellent. Location is not close to the beach and unable to walk but they provide shuttle car. Take it!!!

You can't go wrong staying at such a beautiful hotel set in a lush tropical setting. I stayed in the Ravana suite which is gorgeous and lots of attention to detail. Very nice pool, restaurant was good you can eat for as little as 60 baht if you like. Staff are extremely helpful and the grounds are meticulously clean. Good Internet signal in the lobby, lots of tours you can easily book at the desk. You can walk to nearby restaurants or roam around the beach area which is a short 5 minute shuttle to their sister hotel. I had a very relaxing stay, would absolutely come back here. A real gem!

Ramayana is a good choice for couples or families looking for a quiet place to stay. The property is set back in the jungle and has a nice pool in the middle with a bar. All the rooms I saw had a nice patio that overlooks the garden that the property is set in. There is no beach directly on the property but there is a shuttle that runs every hour to their sister property, "The Dewa", that has a beach. They also run shuttles to the White Sand Beach which is the main town with restaurants and bars. They have scooters for rent as well but they're pricey compared with what you can get at other places on the island. You pay for convenience. Don't pick this place if you're looking for a good fitness center. The spa, according to my girlfriend, was also pretty mediocre. The water pressure in the shower was minimal and it was only lukewarm.

We stayed there for a couple of days and found it a great value for money. The resort is clean and has a relaxing atmosphere although it is not on the beach but transfer to the beach was offered in just a short ride. What really impresses us here was the very friendly staff and very tasty food in the resort.

We stayed during the low season so that might explain why we were so spoiled. The restaurant was great with many choices. We rented scooters from the hotel, really practical. The resort is not by the sea but we survived by using the nice pool. = )

We stayed at Ramayana resort for 3 nights. This resort is just very very cozy and much more than what we have expected!, You can enjoy a true nature with good gardening and friendly landscaping for all your comfy. The surrounding of this hotel is simply outstanding. Perfect for people who come for relaxation like myself & perfect spot for couples in Honeymoon. The Hanuman deluxe room is very nice looking and comfortable room with space and a great view from the balcony. The price fpr the room by the way is more than reasonable!

The Breakfast is very basic one, but this is the standard I'm used to in The Thai hotels so I never have High expectation there, but the restaurant have very good meals for lunch/supper and with good price. the resort has done a good job and we will definitely be back soon Ramayana!!

The Ramayana Resort is absolutely idyllic; it is in a jungle garden setting and not directly on the beach, which, is in fact, to the hotel's credit. This is because you are free to use the facilities and private beach terrace at the 5star sister hotel, The Dewa. This really is a huge bonus as the beach is superb and there are plenty of sunbeds and a reasonably priced bar serving great cocktails.

When we first arrived we were blown away by the hospitality and efficiency of the staff and were shown to our fabulous room. We stayed in the Hanuman Deluxe which was plenty big enough for two and featured a private balcony. Our room backed onto to the small river that circles the resort and we were near to the pool. It was very clean and we were also provided with beach towels, which was handy.

The hotel restaurant is great value and of good quality. The mini-bar in the room is fab! (Same prices that you will pay in the 7 Eleven).

Koh Chang is truly beautiful and the hotel arrange cheap excursions to make the most of the island.

We would return tomorrow if we could and definitely plan to return next year and would recommend this resort to anyone.

A lovely surprise at this hotel. Great surroundings, good facilities, friendly and obliging staff. The Hanuman room was perfectly adequate with a few extra touches which we did not expect. Would certainly return to this hotel if we go back to Koh Chang.

Stayed At Ramayana Hotel between 12/8/11-25/8/11 (2 weeks) by myself at the Hanuman deluxe room (with breakfast). This hotel look amazing inside & out! I call the surrounding a "modern jungle", You can enjoy a true nature (even made by humans...) in the most relaxing & comfortable way! The surrounding of this hotel is simply outstanding (see my pics)! Perfect 4 people who come 4 relaxation like myself & perfect spot 4 couples in Honeymoon or sort... The Hanuman deluxe room is very nice looking and comfortable room with space and a great view from the porch. The price 4 the room by the way is more than reasonable!

The Breakfast is very basic one, but this is the standard I'm used 2 in The Thai hotels so I never have High expectation there, but the restaurant have very good meals 4 lunch/supper and with good price.

Please do try the spa!!! especially the "Hot herbal massage"- the best I've got ever! (& I've been 6 time in Thailand...) this spa in general looks great, U can for only 200 baht get a private Jacuzzi & Sauna 4 an Hour!

Just the looks of my pics from there after more than a year makes me drool all over the place...

Stayed with two friends in one of the bungalow-style villas in Ramayana Resort last October 2011. Rooms were good (although could use some brighter lighting options) and the bathrooms were interesting. Our two bathrooms were situated in a common open-air area of the villa. When you're taking a bath or using the toilet, you feel like you're bathing outdoors--although of course there are still walls and bathroom doors to give you the necessary privacy.

Staff were wonderfully efficient and friendly and speak good English. They were helpful in assisting us on which day tour packages to get. You would think that hotels would normally charge exorbitant prices for tour packages, but I didn't feel that in Ramayana. It cost us around THB 300-450 / person to go on an elephant trek, and around THB 500 for a trip to an island via speed boat to do some snorkeling. Not bad at all!

Visitors booking a room here shouldn't expect it to be a beach resort; it's very clear on their website that Ramayana is a garden resort situated by the main road. I don't consider its location a minus, because Ramayana offfers free shuttle trips to its sister resort, Dewa, which has a beachfront. I strongly advise not swimming there though because when we visited the beach, the shore and water were full of jelly fish! If you need to do some swimming and snorkeling, just take a day tour package and head off to the islands. It's not inconvenient at all. There's also a lovely pool in Ramayana where you can take a quick dip and order snacks/alcohol by the bar (although they kinda took forever preparing our orders).

Don't forget to get a massage in the Ramayana spa. Excellent Thai massage and body scrub!

Overall, my friends and I had a fantastic time at Ramayana.
